Just a few metres from the beaches, sometimes unsuspected landscapes await the visitor in love with nature and wide open spaces! Little is known about it, but it is one of the rare preserved natural sites, with such a biodiversity, on the Mediterranean coast. The lido of long sandy beaches separates a string of ponds that make up the lagoons.
Swamps, active salt marshes and small water sports centres punctuate this still wild territory, which can be discovered on foot, by bike or on horseback. Numerous signposted walks through pine forests and garrigues criss-cross the Narbonnaise area.
The Heritage Circuits, which are interpretation trails, the massifs of La Clape overlooking the sea, the Grande Randonnée around the Ancient Gulf, the Sentier Cathare which starts at Port-la-Nouvelle, the choice is vast! 56% of the territory of the Regional Park is now part of the Natura 2000 network!
